The storyline itself features such unappealing would-be suitors that Merida’s disinterest in romance is undercut: What if the three young men who must vie for her hand were more like Prince Charmings than doofuses?.

The film’s marketing, which essentially ignores that "Brave" is a tale of a mother-daughter relationship (presumably for fear that such a story wouldn’t be a box office draw), is insulting.

No word if these are final versions of the characters or just concept art. These are the first chance we’ve had to see any character other than Princess Merida. The Pixar Blog was sent a special sneak peak at images of three new characters from Brave. I’m leaving the text and the early concept art since that was released pretty wide before. Update: Alas, Disney-Pixar has asked that I remove the images.
